Chow Chow Vegetable Relish

Are you in the Club?  What Club you ask, the Chow Chow club!  Growing up, did you have a relative who made Chow Chow, your mother, grandmother, aunt?  Having grown up in Texas, it was thought that that is where this yummy end of the garden relish was born.  Moving up to Montana in 2001, it was soon discovered that this vegetable sweet relish is everywhere.  Think about a recipe being so good that it has survived hundred of years and has been passed all over the world.

Chow Chow

Don't worry, if you not in the Chow Chow Club, you can join anytime.  Just order a jar or two and if you love it, you are automatically in the club!  This has a cabbage base with so many wonderful veggies fresh inside.  Use it in place of your pickle relish.  You'll probably want to keep a jar of Chow Chow in your fridge or pantry at all times.  Use in:  tuna or chicken salad, deviled eggs, potato salad, hamburgers, hot dogs, mix with cream cheese for a sandwich.
